劉惠欣 (古箏)

劉氏十一歲時師從秦綺峰學習古箏,曾獲校際音樂節箏獨奏深造組冠軍。劉氏於2008年考入香港演藝學院,隨許菱子主修古箏,並隨趙太生副修三弦、施盈琳副修豎琴,並於2015年取得音樂碩士學位(主修古箏)。
劉氏2006年曾隨八音中國音樂硏究會往上海作交流演出。於2007年, 跟隨香港⻘年中樂團到南京、無錫、江蔭作巡廻表演;於2011年隨團參加在台中彰化舉行的「2011當代國樂節」演出。
2010年,劉氏獲得「匯豐銀行奬學金」,前往上海隨孫文姸學習。2011年獲頒發「香港演藝學院友誼社奬學金」。2012年慿曾葉發的《流聲殘韻》、2013憑何占豪的《臨安遺恨》獲勝於演藝學院協奏曲比賽。分別於2013年及2016年獲「翰雅杯」中國古箏藝術傳統流派及⺠間風格作品演奏(成都)邀請賽演奏奬、2013年獲第三屆國際古箏比賽⻘年專業組金奬。
曾於2018及2019年隨香港演藝學院箏團往⻄安音樂學院及國立台灣藝術大學作交流演出。2019年隨香港愛樂⺠樂團前往加拿大及新加坡演出。
劉氏曾任香港中樂團及竹韻小集特約樂師、現為香港愛樂⺠樂團箏首席及譜務、香港道樂團成員、MY箏樂團音樂指導。劉氏亦曾參與香港⻘年中樂團、宏光國樂團、香港少年中樂團、香港兒童中樂團、香港⻘年彈撥中樂團、香港港島⻘年中樂團、香港城市中樂團及香港城市大學中樂團。

Lau started to learn Zheng since eleven and has been taught by Chun Yee-fung. In the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, she has won the champion in advanced section. She was admitted into the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (“APA”) in year 2008. Following Xu Ling-zi majoring in
Zheng, Zhao Tai-sheng minoring in San-xian and Sze Ying-lam minoring in harp. Lau was awarded the degree of master of music in 2015.
Year 2006, Lau followed Eight Sound Chinese Music Association for exchange performance in Shanghai. She also followed the Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra to Nanjing, Wu Xi and Jiang Yin in year 2007 and to Taiwan in 2011 for tour performance.
During the study in APA, Lau obtained the HSBC Scholarship, which allowed her to further her education with Suen Wen-yian of the to Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She has also obtained the Scholarship from the Society of the Academy for Performing Arts (SAPA). Besides, Lau won the
APA Concerto Competition twice with the piece “The Moment is but Momentary”(Richard Tsang), "The Eternal Sorrow in Lin-an"(He Zhan-hao) and subsequently performed these together with the APA Orchestra in year 2012 and 2013 respectively. In year 2013 and later in 2016, Lau obtained the
Perormance Prize of the Han Ya Cup Zheng's traditional genre and styles Competition. In 2013, she obtained the Gold Prize in the Youth (Professional) section of the Third International Zheng Contest.
Year 2018 and 2019, Lau followed the Academy for Performing Arts for exchange performance in Xi'an Conservatory of Music and National Taiwan University of Arts respectively. Lau also followed the Hong Kong Music Lover Chinese Orchestra performing in Canada and Singapore.
Lau was once the freelance musician of Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and Windpipe Chinese Ensemble. She is participating in Hong Kong Music Lover Chinese Orchestra as Zheng principal and score libarian, Hong Kong Taoist Orchestra and music supervisor of Miu Yiu Zheng Ensemble.
She was also participated in the Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong Juvenile Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong Children Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong Youth Plucked String Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong Island Youth Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong City Chinese Orchestra and Hong Kong City University Chinese Orchestra.
